How To Create Your Own Brushes In Photoshop

There are lot of images you would have been looking on the internet and elsewhere with stunning effects and colorful combination. Dont worry you can now make your own brushes in photoshop and can create these effects to impress your friends and even you can make money from it. Today I am going to tell you about creation of photoshop brushes with very easy way. Let us see what is happening here.

Lets Start It

You would have seen lot of beautiful and attractive styles in image manipulations and wallpapers. They all are made by using photoshop brushes and they are available on the internet in tons. But here is the tutorial with which you will be able to create your own brushes in Adobe photoshop. There are very few steps to create photoshop brush. Let us see these steps.

Choosing  Basic Image for Brush

You may use any image to define brush, you can try different images squares, circles or any other shape. You may use partial or complete image to define brush. Use selection tool to select the part of an image.
Create a new document with 400×400 size

Create any shape you want to make brush of it.
I took the shape like this.

Defining the Brush

Click Edit menu and select Define Brush option. Here you may use a complete image or some selection. Now preview dialogue box will appear where you will type the new brush name. Now click ok.

I named it designersdare but you can name it your own choice.

Placing the Brush

You will find your saved brush in the bottom of your loaded brushes. Now it is the time to save your brush or it will be vanished when you load any other brush sets next time. Lets see how to save your newly added brush so that you can be reuse it next time.

Define a New Brush Set

Here you will learn how to save your new brushes. Click on Brush palette and click on option button whose like a triangle in a circle on the top right side as show in the image.

Now click on “Preset Manager” option. Preset Manager can also be accessed from edit menu too. Now select your new designed brush. You may select one or more brushes by holding down the Ctrl or Shift buttons.

Now select “Save Set” button to save your newly created brushes as a new set.  In this way you will be able to reload your saved brushes when you need them.

That is all now load you brush and play with them.
